PRACTICE RIDES - Practice rides on CHEC school horses are $10 each time unless otherwise authorized and arranged with Callie or Cookie. Please make sure include ALL practice rides fees with payment. A log will be signed each time you take a practice ride. Please see Callie for more information FARRIER/VET - Board at CHEC does not include handling for farrier and veterinary services. The farrier is at the farm every Tuesday at 12:30. Please make sure you are available to hold your horse at the appropriate time. For owners who are unable to hold their own horse, CHEC will do this for $20/time. I do not mind helping out occasionally, however am unable to get my work done when I have to stop and hold everyone's horses for the farrier. Please make sure to be there. No Exceptions. VANNING - All CHEC school horses will be trailered by CHEC. Rates: $100/person/horse within 50 mile radius. $1.00 will be charged for each additional mile beyond the first 50 miles. Vanning for a show that is 70 miles away, for example, would cost $120. Vanning fees are not split when students share horses. If you are unable to follow your horse to the show, you can pay a $20 handling fee to have them loaded, unloaded and put to bed in your absence. TRAINER/SCHOOLING FEES - Minimum $100/day combined schooling fees. When there are 4 or more students, schooling fees are $30/day plus the group splits the trainer's hotel costs. 3 Students - $33/student/day plus hotel 2 Students - $50/student/day plus hotel 1 Student - $100/student/day plus hotel. * NOTE: Rates have NOT changed! This is the standard fee for fewer students. This season there are people who have expressed an interest in doing shows even if the rest of the group does not go. These people also understand that they will be paying more to show when there are only one or two students. If you do not fall into that category, you will still be charged the same for schooling as always. Unless you are planning on attending a show not on the schedule, or don't mind going when there are only a few students, nothing should change from the usual rates. Obviously it is much cheaper if more students attend. However not all students can show at every show. This rate schedule makes it possible for me to travel to shows for only one or two students and takes into consideration income lost on lessons not taught as well as travel, food and cost of farm care while away at the show. Please feel free to ask CALLIE if you have any concerns/questions. TACK TRUNK RENTALS - Please see Cookie if you are interested in purchasing your own tack trunk. For students who do not own the official CHEC Trunk, the cost of the rental will be split. |
